Privacy Policy

This policy describes how S4Studio di Matteo Grue ("S4Studio", "we") processes the personal data of users of www.s4dock.com and of the S4Dock service, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.

1. Data controller

2. Data we process

  • Registration and account data: first and last name, email, company name, VAT number and login credentials.
  • Billing and payment data: data required for the subscription, handled through our payment provider Stripe. We do not store full card details on our servers.
  • Content entered in the service: clients, projects, tasks, quotes and financial data that the user enters in S4Dock. The user is the controller of this data; we process it as a processor on their behalf.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, system logs, collected for security and operation.
  • Statistical data: aggregated usage data collected, with consent, via analytics cookies (see Cookie Policy).

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Providing the service and managing the account — performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Managing subscriptions, billing and tax obligations — performance of the contract and legal obligation (Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.c).
  • Ensuring security, abuse prevention and technical continuity — legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f).
  • Usage statistics and site improvement — consent (Art. 6.1.a), withdrawable at any time.
  • Responding to support or contact requests — pre-contractual measures or legitimate interest.

4. Processors and recipients

Data may be processed on our behalf, with appropriate safeguards, by providers acting as processors:

  • Netsons S.r.l. — hosting and infrastructure, with servers located in Italy.
  • Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
  • Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity) — usage statistics, only with prior consent.

Data is not disseminated or sold to third parties for marketing purposes. It may be disclosed to competent authorities where required by law.

5. Transfers outside the EU

The main infrastructure and service data reside in Italy. Some providers (Stripe, Google, Microsoft) may process data outside the European Economic Area: in that case the transfer is based on adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

6. Data retention

We keep data for as long as necessary for the stated purposes: account data and content for the duration of the relationship and until the account is deleted; billing data for the period required by tax obligations (generally 10 years); statistical data according to the durations stated in the Cookie Policy. After these terms, data is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

As a data subject you may exercise at any time the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15–22 GDPR), as well as withdraw any consent given. Requests can be sent to info@s4dock.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).

8. Security

We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, logical data separation per organisation, access controls) to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration.

9. Minors

The service is intended for professionals and businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of last update.
